Description : RIPPLER: Physical Modeling + Subtractive

A reimagining of modal synthesis. Rippler employs modern modal synthesis—featuring technologies like bidirectional energy transfer—combined with classic subtractive synthesis (dual oscillators and dual filters).
At its core, Rippler uses resonator blocks to simulate the sound of various instruments without relying on samples.
With multiple modulatable parameters, it can generate a wide range of sounds—from pads and strings to percussion and plucked instruments.
Modulation everywhere. Every parameter can be modulated by multiple sources, such as envelopes and LFOs.
A simple drag-and-drop modulation system makes it easy to create complex, evolving sounds.
Customize modulation relationships using custom response curves via the Mod Mapping function
—transform linear modulation into exponential, S-curve, or stepped shapes to precisely control each source’s impact on the final output.
Modular effects chain. 13 effects on the master bus and 12 per layer—all within a fully modular chain.
Arrange effects in any order to create unique sonic textures—ranging from subtle, warm hues to extreme sonic destruction.
Dual-layer architecture. Two independent synthesis layers with parallel and serial resonator routing. Bidirectional energy transfer between the resonators creates rich, evolving timbres that respond naturally to your playing.

Changelog:
Rippler v1.0.40 [August 7, 2026]
New
• Added a new noise density mode (enabled by default).
• MPE modulations are now added to the current preset when MPE is enabled (optional).
• Audio input is now optional.
• Added a link to tutorials in the top menu.
Changes
• MPE activation is now a global setting rather than a preset-specific one.
• Reduced audio stream load when using low-frequency modulation.
Fixes
• Fixed a crash when editing modulation connections during audio playback.
• Fixed an issue where the first change was ignored during undo operations.
• Fixed an issue where the Rand modulator behaved differently on macOS compared to Windows.
• The plugin no longer causes the host to crash upon an internal error during audio processing.
• Fixed an issue where partials were not updated after closing the zoom window in manual mode.
• Fixed an issue where incorrect partials were highlighted in manual mode.
• Fixed an issue where filters failed to update coefficients when changing the filter type.
• Fixed an issue where the filter spectrum would “freeze” when clearing voices.
• Fixed an issue where the vowel filter failed to produce different sounds upon note repetition.
• Fixed an issue where increasing the LFO frequency caused distortion.
• Fixed an issue where frequencies were interpolated rather than rounded to the nearest value when using MTS-ESP and tuning files. • Fixed an issue where Coupled Resonators would explode at sample rates above 44,100 Hz.
• Fixed an issue where Coupled Resonators had varying output levels depending on the sample rate.
• Fixed an issue where the preview volume was not saved when saving and recalling presets.
