StudioVerse: Mix Unlock
Transform finished tracks without using samples. Want to boost the vocals in a finished mix but don’t have a multitrack recording? Or take a loop and strip out the drums to make it fit your needs?
Introducing Mix Unlock, a new premium feature of StudioVerse, our extensive online preset library.
Mix Unlock works in real time within your DAW, so you can manipulate your audio as it plays. In seconds, a finished mix, sample, or loop can be split into vocals, drums, bass, and instruments, then reshaped and processed using hundreds of StudioVerse presets.
More macro capabilities: StudioVerse audio effects now support up to 104 assignable macros across 13 pages,
giving you unprecedented control over the entire StudioVerse system.

Installation:
Uninstall/Cleanup
—————————————————————————————————-
If you are installing Waves for the first time, skip this step.
• Run the included file “R2R_Kill_Waves_Background_Process.cmd”.
• Make sure the COSMOS.exe, WavesLocalServer.exe, and WavesPluginServer.exe processes are not running.
• Uninstall the previous version.
• Uninstall Waves Central.
Clean up the following paths:
directory with your VST2, VST3, and AAX plugins
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\
• %PROGRAMFILES%\Waves Central\
• %PROGRAMDATA%\Waves Audio\
• %APPDATA%\COSMOS\
• %APPDATA%\Waves Audio\
• %LOCALAPPDATA%\Waves Audio\
• %PUBLIC%\Waves Audio\
=> If you feel you don’t have enough experience, search for “WaveShell*” on your C drive and then delete all the files found.
=> We often see users having issues with old shells that need to be removed.
Clean your registry:
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Waves\
Install Runtimes
————————————————————————————
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2026 x64 Redistributable
• Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime (used in recent web plugins)
Install Waves
—————————————————————————————————
• Unzip our installer, run it, and install.
• Scan or rescan the plugins in your DAW. If you’ve updated your plugins, a full rescan is recommended.
• If you’re using sample-based instruments, find the path to the instruments in the application’s launch menu or GUI.
Sample libraries (most of them can be downloaded from the official Waves website):
• Waves.Bass.Fingers.Library.HD.v1.0-R2R
• Waves.Bass.Fingers.Library.SD.v1.0-R2R
• Waves.Bass.Slapper.Library.HAPPY.NEW.YEAR-R2R

Restarting Waves Background Servers
—————————————————————————————————
This is useful if background processes are not working correctly.
Incorrect background servers can cause various issues (licensing, scanning, presets, etc.).
• Run the included file “R2R_Kill_Waves_Background_Process.cmd”.
• Delete the cache files in the “%APPDATA%\Waves Audio\” and “%LOCALAPPDATA%\Waves Audio\” folders.
• Run these EXE files manually.
“%PROGRAMDATA%\Waves Audio\WavesLocalServer\WavesLocalServer.bundle\Contents\Win64\WavesLocalServer.exe”
“%PROGRAMDATA%\Waves Audio\WavesPluginServer\WavesPluginServerV17.1.bundle\Contents\Win64\WavesPluginServer.exe”
• Then rescan your plugins.
F A Q :
Question: Why don’t you support custom product installations?
Answer: Waves has one of the most complex file and version dependencies. This is difficult even for Waves.
See the Waves Central release notes; this legitimate installer is full of bugs.
Another real-world problem is that many users can’t read or follow the instructions.
So, select “All Uninstall” -> “Clean Up” -> “Full Install Only.”
Question: Why don’t you allow changing the installation folder?
Answer: The installation folder is fixed with Waves.
Do you think it’s possible to change the path in the registry? Some applications don’t support this.
Question: How can I remove plugins I don’t use?
Answer: Delete the *.bundle files in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V*”.
Some plugins contain content in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Data”.
We recommend creating a batch file to remove unnecessary package files in the future.
Question: Do online features work?
Answer: This may work if you log in, but most importantly, do not connect cracked software to the internet.
Question: COSMOS Family asks me to log in.
Answer: They are logged in, but the app still asks you to log in. This cannot be easily bypassed as before.
