Imagine a 303 on steroids—that’s exactly what we created with the Semi Modular X (ASM1X). Working with our friend AlphaDog, we improved the design, adding features like patch cables and polyphony. The result is a truly unique and versatile instrument. While the ASM1X has its roots in sequencer sounds, it stands out for its exceptional pads and leads, making it a true gem for producers. One thing is for sure—nothing else can replicate the inimitable sound of the ASM1X.
The heart of the ASM1X is the 202 filter, renowned for its self-oscillating resonance, precise tuning, and wide frequency response, covering frequencies from the sub-bass to well beyond the upper limit of human hearing. This filter delivers a powerful sound that’s truly captivating. Most modules in the ASM1X support control voltage (CV), allowing you to modify the signal path in real time without any audio artifacts. The sequencer features a CV Gate/Note output and is compatible with ASM1X playback in Note mode, monophonically or polyphonically.
