Sound Swayed is modeled after the famous 1989 synthesizer, which combined FM synthesis with sample-based synthesis. This combination allows for the creation of unique timbresβfrom realistic to synthetic and everything in between.
Patch compatibility allows access to a vast library of sounds created for the original hardware, as importable SysEx files. Patches created with Swayed can also be loaded onto the original hardware by exporting them as SysEx files.

- Advanced FM Synthesis
Swayed features a 6-operator FM synthesizer with 15 waveforms and 3 customizable feedback paths. You can choose from 45 algorithms to determine the routing between operators or completely customize the signal flow using freeform mode.
Each operator has two inputs. These inputs can come from another operator, the feedback path, noise, or even a sample from a waveform element within the same region.
Each operator includes its own envelope curve and key scaling curve. Operators can also be modulated using an LFO. - Preset Library
Swayed features 128 factory custom presets and an additional set of 140 presets developed by Saif Samir. SysEx file loading from the original hardware unit and related series is also supported, giving you access to a vast library of sounds available online. - Waveform Samples
Swayed includes 112 preset waveforms and 81 expansion card waveforms. The preset waveforms are close to the original hardware samples, recreated from scratch using a mix of custom recordings, public domain samples, and synthesizers. The 81 expansion card waveforms are unique to Swayed.
You can also provide your own waveform ROM files, as long as they are in the same format as the original hardware. This applies to both presets and card sources. Simply place the files in the Waveforms folder, and they will load automatically.
A future update will add support for loading your own audio files and creating custom waveform multisamples. - Effects
Swayed includes 44 built-in effects. Each element in a patch can be routed to Group 1, Group 2, or both. Each group supports one modulation effect (such as chorus, flanger, tremolo, or ensemble) and one reverb-type effect. Reverb effects include various reverb types, as well as delay, distortion, EQ, and hybrid combinations.
Three routing options are available: series, parallel, and a mixed configuration in between.
Each effect includes individual volume and dry/wet controls for precise sound shaping.
