Installation :
1. Run and install Kontakt 8 8.4.1 Setup PC.exe
2. Run Kontakt 8.4.1 Patcher.exe
3. Press PATCH and patch the format you installed (VST3 or AAX)
4. Next, Patcher will ask to overwrite the NativeAccess.xml file , press “Yes”
5. Then press EXIT
6. Enjoy!
Adding Libraries :
Adding libraries is done using Kontakt_Button.exe ,
located in C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8
Note The Kontakt_Button.exe :
File may be recognized by your antivirus system as malware and deleted. To avoid this, add the Kontakt_Button.exe file and the C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8 folder to the exclusions in your antivirus , as well as in Microsoft Defender :
How to do this:
“Right-click the Start icon – Settings – Update & Security – Windows Security – Virus & threat protection
– Virus & threat protection settings – manage settings – Exclusions – add or remove exclusions”
How come it doesn’t show up in my DAW after installation?
