It features standard and default Dimension Strings articulations, offering flexibility and fine-tuning with access to each individual ensemble member, both automatically and through your own adjustments. “Humanize Presets” add the subtle timing and pitch nuances that naturally arise during a live performance.
The instruments were recorded in the relatively dry and controlled environment of the Silent Stage, giving you plenty of options for placing the instruments in any acoustic environment of your choice, including presets for their ideal placement on the A Synchron Stage Vienna.

Stunning realism through imperfection
The string players in each ensemble played together in homogeneous groups but were voiced individually, so their voices are available separately in the Synchron Player mixer. This allows for automated and individual control of volume, tempo, pitch, vibrato, and other parameters for each musician. Using the “Humanize” fader, you can automatically adjust tempo and pitch simultaneously, allowing you to easily introduce more or less imperfection into each musician’s performance.
World-class acoustics
Vienna Synchron Player uses a custom-designed convolution reverb based on Vienna MIR Pro 3D, which recreates the superb ambience of the 540 square meter (5,813 square foot) main hall of Synchron Stage Vienna. Perfectly crafted reverb and placement presets combine adjustable impulse responses with professionally selected reverb settings for each instrument or ensemble. By adding the ambience of Synchron Stage Vienna’s Stage A sample to relatively dry real-time samples, Studio Special Edition pairs perfectly with any other Synchron product, delivering a ready-to-use sound out of the box. By disabling the internal convolution reverb, you can place all instruments and ensembles anywhere in the stereo field and in any acoustic environment, from dry rooms to stages and halls.
Upgrades
Expand the Studio Special Edition Vol. 5 string ensemble set with additional articulations by upgrading to the larger Studio Dimension Strings I and Studio Dimension Strings II (with muting) collections at competitive prices. In addition to a multitude of additional articulations, the larger collections offer the ability to select specific strings (“forced strings,” such as G), “avoid open strings,” and “use open strings.”
NKS Integration
Studio special editions support Native Instruments’ NKS format and are compatible with Komplete Kontrol and Maschine keyboards. Use the backlight to quickly identify key switches and playing ranges of your instruments, preview and preview sounds, and quickly adapt them with preset knobs.
