Hanging out with a former PRS Guitars employee, he handed me his 5-year anniversary build. I noticed it was blue, but engaged in conversation I just strapped guitar on and started playing……. didn’t notice it was a 12-string until I saw the headstock……… it played that buttery smooth…….. in fact only 1 of a total of 2 PRS guitars I’ve ever really liked. The other was another employee anniversary build, like a smaller Gibson 335 style which I believe is THE finest guitar I’ve ever played, but that 12-string…….. just awesome.
I’m trying to build in sampler a “tres Cubano” guitar, with variations. I wanted to buy one in Playa del Carmen, Mexico but the owner said with just a modified nut and saddle I could easily make one with a 6-string acoustic. Anyway, just want to see how much elastik allows modifying the instrument if at all…… spacing of string pairs, etc.
