The Toontrack – Superior Drummer 3 Library Update v1.2.0 doesn’t seem to be working–
It doesn’t locate folders and nothing and update checkbox is inactive.
Any righteous bros want to tell me what’s up?
Works on Catalina M1 in Ableton. Does not read any midi from toontrack.

can’t find a solution
You need to download {Part 1: “Basic Sound Library” (Basic library with all instruments, room OH Dyn and Amb Ribbon mics, and snare, kick and toms leaks)} before you used the v1.2.0 update.

It’s a bit convoluted but it does work.
Install part 1(This is the actual program installer)
Replace the .dll file in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\Toontrack
Install the v1.2.0 update
If it doesn’t work you have to run the program, then add the library wherever the part1 folder is(The folder you downloaded with the torrent is your library you need to add, not in Program Files or anything. For example, mine downloaded to G:\Torrents\Toontrack.Superior.Drummer.3.v3.0.1.WiN\SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1
This would be my library)
Copy the Sound Updater.exe to SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part2 folder and run the installer. It should install part2 library to the part 1 library now since you have designated the library folder now in Superior Drummer 3. Then copy to the next set of folders to add each library.

How do i do it on mac do i just install normally and then manually add sounds? Considering i dont have a patch file or is the mac app precracked so i don’t have to care about that?

Same here, seems we need to instal “SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1” I still don’t get how to on a mac, if a good soul could take a minute to point me/us on the right direction?

=> settings
=>libraries paths
Click on Add library path(s)
=> SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1 => SL-SuperiorDrummer3
Follow instruction(s)….
Then the Library Update v1.2.0 will work!
