This EZX for EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 aims to uncover some of the defining milestones in the history of the genre and provide you with the finest collection of hand-picked drums. If you’re looking for big, resonant kits that can handle the entire dynamic range from subtle to explosive and offer tones that span bright, crisp, earthy and warm, this EZX is for you.
Fusion EZX was recorded by engineer Stefano Civetta (Nile Rodgers, Ed Sheeran, Earth, Wind and Fire) and drummer Pete Riley (Guthrie Govan, Keith Emerson, Richie Kotzen) at School Farm, a brand new state-of-the-art studio in Essex, England. With its SSL Duality console, gorgeous mic booth, 24 channels of Neve preamps and, most importantly, a spacious but not overly reverberant live room, it was the perfect choice to capture the vibrant energy of the drums in this EZX. There are four unique kits included in total, each hand-picked, tuned and matched to offer their own niche tone and style to the project. What’s more, one of the kits was recorded with two different drumhead setups, essentially giving you a total of five completely different tonal shades. Plus, with kits boasting seven toms each, extras like side snares, octobers, bells, a gong bass drum, several extra kit pieces, and a wide range of cymbals ranging from 6-inch splashes to 23-inch rides, stacks, and chins, this is an EZX that covers a huge breadth.
In addition to the kits, there are a variety of ready-to-mix presets, as well as a collection of drum grooves and fills, allowing you to instantly start creating drum parts that perfectly combine Pete’s precise playing with Stefano’s impeccable, high-quality engineering.
In addition to songwriting and music production, this EZX was also designed with electronic drummers in mind, offering customized presets with balanced starting points and optimal settings for using electronic drums.
With all the features you’d expect from a fusion-labeled EZX, but also adaptable beyond any boundaries the genre has to offer, it’s an extension of limitless experimentation and exploration.
