Description: A 100% organic sourced sample pack was developed by artist and activist Madame Gandhi and Woodstock-based New York-based Sound MANA music collective. Working in collaboration, they aimed to create a collection of sounds that would help creators connect with nature. They made unique high quality field recordings of plants and animals in nature to see how they would be used as electronic sounds.
Madame Gandhi shared: “As a producer, I very often find that I like what is available to me on the Internet, and yet I do not know where the sound came from. I want my audience to be inspired by what nature has to offer. With this package, I intended to contribute to a movement that is critical not only of the source of the instrumentation, but also of the content of our lyrics. As an artist and producer, I see tremendous opportunity in being able to create music and sounds that raise the collective consciousness. By creating this set, we hope the Splice community will find joy in reconnecting with nature”
