Description:
Ronroco-
The aggressive sounds of this Andean instrument evoke the vast, untamed landscapes of Patagonia and beyond. Larger than the charango, the ronroco is a two-string instrument, unique in that the top pairs are doubled in unison and the bottom pairs are doubled in octaves, creating a mystical, otherworldly sound.
Bouzouki-
A style of lute with a long neck and metal strings, known as the modern bouzouki, was developed in Greece in the early 1910s. Locals modified it to work with steel strings, giving it its signature ringing sound.
