Saw this cat play in a small club/microbrewery the Ram’s Head OnStage in Annapolis, Maryland. I had no idea who he was or the style but they sizzled and scorched, very much West Coast Latin jazz a la Cal Tjader/Poncho Sanchez. Thanks, amigo!
Any chance of a CDXtract app around to handle this AKAI format? I had tried Chicken Systems Translator but an ancient version; several attempts to mount AKAI kept saying to restart computer because of ASPI something. PowerISO doesn’t handle AKAI. The CDXtract app is mentioned in the site but it appears to be out of production. Any other ideas on AKAI handling?
Solution thus far:
1. In Halion 6, under Load/Rec “Browser” tab, made a Destination directory
2. Import AKAI format media by dragging to Slot Rack or left window.
3. Conversions begin; about 5 minutes to crunch through this 525 MB .iso
4. 1,073 .wav files will take some sorting.
