Description : Reason is a program for creating and recording music (digital sound workstation), developed by the Swedish company Propellerhead Software. Emulates a virtual rack rack studio. In a virtual rack, it is possible to create from a list of available native devices (as well as the number of Rack Extension plugins) – synthesizers, samplers, effect processors, step and graphic sequencers, and sub-mixers. In addition to the main window with the rack, the program has two main windows – the sequencer itself (with piano roll, drum roll mode and editing MIDI and audio clips that envelope automation partners) and the main mixer window (SSL mixer emulation). Reason was successful thanks to its intuitive, simple and realistic interface with recom, as well as incredible stability in work among many DAWs.
Reason is a complete package that includes a large number of tools, effects, utilities, a sample library and an abundance of presets for all possible devices from professional producers and sanud design teams. At the heart of the work are the sends of the audio signal and control with the help of CV voltages, inherent in semi-modular and modular synthesizers.
It can be used either as an independent virtual recording studio, or as a set of virtual musical instruments for live performance, or for recording using external sequencers (using Rewire technology).
