About Yannek Maunz :
Yannek Maunz – a Berlin-based producer, sound tinkerer and YION label co-owner.
“Creating this class was quite a challenge, but after I received a lot of positive feedback on my Sub 37 Video of the Berlin Dance Event I realized that there is a need on how to actually create music with the Sub 37 . And after that it was just a natural idea to create it together with PML. I’ve been using the Sub 37 for over 5 years now, in nearly each of my productions and even though I wanted to switch to other synths from time to time, always came back to this monster.
Am I an expert on that synth? Well, I think that’s hard to say, maybe in MY way of patching. You know, I think there are great tutorials out there about the Sub 37 but they are mainly about the technical side of it. I wanted to create something different: a class about how to actually USE the synth, how to compose with it, and how to achieve (in the fastest and most creative way) musical results with it. I will show you the process of patching from init to a finished sound. Every time. This is the most fun thing to do because you’ll learn exactly how to achieve a certain sound and you can develop your own style of playing and synthesizing. In the end it’s possible to transfer all the knowledge to any synth (hardware or software) but with Moog you will have it a lot easier (because it’s all accessible with your hands).
This course contains all of my tricks and tips and workflow boosts I can think of and I hope it will help you create the music you want.
Best,
Yannek
