Installation\Registration :
0. Uninstall the previous version.
1. Install Studio One Pro 7.
2. Copy the VCRUNTIME140_1.dll file to C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 7.
3. Launch Studio One (Close the login window and run offline authorization).
4. Run our keygen on Windows > Copy MachineID to the keygen.
5. Generate licenses.
6. Authorize StudioOne using “studioapp*.pro.license”.
If you want to authorize StudioOne5, your choice is “studioapp5.pro.license“.
Authorize extensions with other licenses.
If you want to authorize PreSonusHub, copy “presonushub.license” to
“%PROGRAMDATA%\PreSonus\PreSonus Hub\”
7 Block Studio One 7.exe in your firewall if necessary.

Important note :
Make an exception in your antivirus for >>> VCRUNTIME140_1.dll <<< if it is not excluded from the scan, the antivirus will eat it
like a fat kid in a candy store and you will have to go through the registration process again.
Stem Seperation still does not work
Invalid License File! Worked for me once, but now wants license again & it also does not work anymore.
@winamca, just curious if you:
1. saw the “important note” above at bottom of description/instructions about the VCRUNTIME dll thing? You might check the Real Time Protection setting in your Windows Security virus and threat protection section…… “manage settings” and see if something attached to this got yanked into quarantine. I also set my download directory as exclusion since I install stuff from where the torrent was downloaded.
and/or
2. disconnected Internet before starting the program? I ALWAYS set “Block through Windows firewall” AND disconnect before using anything that might “phone home”.
Thank you for the answer. I permanently deactivated real-time protection before I downloaded and also edited my host file so that no internet connection could be established and I also did the same with the firewall. At the beginning it worked. Now I always get it Wrong license displayed According to my research, I’m not the only one who has this problem, so I wanted to write this here as information. Just delete your old licenses, use the keygen again, and activate. Before that, you need to add these lines to your hosts file –
127.0.0.1 registration.presonus.com
127.0.0.1 updates.presonus.com
127.0.0.1 api.presonus.com
127.0.0.1 api.presonus.com.cdn.cloudflare.com
After you add these, reactivate using the keygen and the registration will stick.
I did everything that could be done from the host file to defender and firewall exceptions no chance studio one 5 and 6 I never had any problems I even reinstalled windows after I reinstalled windows it always works the first time it always says so invalid license

Once upon a time there was progress and productivity…….. my ADHD is so bad I have NO idea why I’m pursuing this. I have loved Cubase for a very long time. I think I read that Steinberg himself was working with PreSonus. There’s plenty of Cubase influence in Studio One. I have their now-legacy AudioBox 22 VSL USB audio unit and love it.
sorry if this wanders off topic; you said “I permanently deactivated real-time protection”……… it must be the windows 64 build I have that won’t permanently hold that setting to “OFF”. I set my torrent d/l’s folder as an exception. I know enough to be hazardous 🙂
OOPS one more issue…….. I haven’t been able to get the installer running because a pop-up tells me “this application requires Windows 10 or 11 22H2 or later”. I ran a Windows Update for 22H2 but no dice.

Hey Tim! If you want to completely disable Windows Defender, even for a short while so that installations can proceed without a hitch, you can try something like this – https://github.com/pgkt04/defender-control

@wwiz thanks much, I’m just lucky every time I d/l and execute something, having experienced the scrambled Master Boot Record, etc. from malware. However I’ve said a thousand times group members don’t want their reputations as gurus with a virus attached AND don’t want any such thing within miles of their servers. Also appreciate the VC++ link….. I need everything in one place. So far, again and thanks, that hosts info is the ticket.
Hopefully one last question……… aside from a source for the actual manual or at least for Studio One 6?
How about installing extensions, other stuff “from file”? Can’t see doing so under “Login”.

Search here for a release called “PreSonus – Studio One Pro 6.6.2 – R2R [WiN x64]”. This one has all the extensions. Just download the extensions folder and follow the instructions on that page. Everything works.
Extension folders should be copied into C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 7\Extensions
Then, just use the licenses generated from the keygen to authorize those the next time you run SO.

I think I’m gonna strap on my parachute and bail on this……. “Invalid License!” keeps coming at me even after uninstalling, cleaning, keygen twice. I just made a cumulative set of instructions and suggestions from this page and repeated a few times. If I keep beating on this my callouses will wear away 🙂
