Description: Parallax’s VirtualSoundStage is an algorithmic reverb effect that displays a bird’s eye view of a typical concert hall. Positioning the cursor in this virtual room produces a reverberation response corresponding to placing the sound source at that position in the stereo panorama.
There were also options for adjusting sound absorption, adding a pre-delay, changing the reflection ratio and some filtering elements for more advanced users. But what we really wanted in VSS was the ability to pipe multiple tracks into one plugin instance and put multiple virtual cursors together. And also would not refuse more available premises.
Version 2 finally opens up the ability to connect multiple instruments, allowing you to route more individual tracks and arrange them sequentially in a single window. Unfortunately, you still need one instance of VSS2 per lane to set up this routing.
The new premises (available only in the Pro version) include an additional concert hall, two orchestral stages, a recording studio, an opera stage, a hall (for the sound of “chamber” music), a church and a cathedral. You can even use the VSS2 Free Field option as a direct replacement for panning in your workstation.
And that is not all. There are currently a number of virtual microphone setups available that emulate traditional stage sounding schemes, including the development of Decca Tree. The individual microphones in each setup can also be moved around the stage as you see fit.
VSS2 also comes with a fair amount of presets that can be easily used with some of the best orchestral ROMplers available on the market (Vienna Instruments, East West, Project SAM, etc.)

New in version :
New Sound: Every algorithm has been redesigned from the ground up to create the richest and most realistic early reflections, while keeping the direct signal crisp and clean.
New User Interface: The new user interface gives you control over all your instruments from a single screen for a faster and more intuitive workflow.
New Rooms: Classic Concert Hall, Film Scoring Stage, Recording Studio or a Cathedral. Virtual SoundStage has the right space for every situation.
New Microphone Setups: Choose your microphones from a large collection of popular microphone setups and position them freely on the stage.
New Presets: More than 150 presets and counting for many popular sample libraries will get you started in no time.
New Controls: The new powerful controls including Width, Directivity and AirAbsorption make VirtualSoundStage even more flexible.
