A significant influence on the underground SoundCloud pop scene dubbed “digicore,” tda played a key role in creating a string of breakout hits for artists like lieu, juno, and lei—whose debut project “heartsick” was entirely produced by tda—and has since produced for a wide range of artists, from Duwap Kaine to 2hollis, as well as his own songs, demonstrating his talent for penetrating lyrics on a wide range of topics, from full-on rock instrumentals to trap-influenced beats. “Sacred Geometry” distills tda’s wide range of skills into a concise, ready-to-use package, featuring everything from emotive guitar and pad textures to handcrafted drum one-offs that reflect classic trap sounds, acoustic drums in a vibrant new light, and new Serum core presets. In some ways, it’s the perfect kit for a home producer, with many sounds featuring hand-recorded foley, but it’s by no means amateur—these are hit-ready sounds with a lot of soul. Speaking from their bedroom, with a giant American football banner in the background, tda tells us they simply hope this package will “expand people’s current sonic palette to new levels” and hope users will be “inspired to create something new.”
