Description : Transform ordinary MIDI into expressive, hand-drawn melodies. MIDISketch is a VST3 plugin that lets you draw pitch Bézier curves, velocity, glide, and MPE expressions for each note directly in your DAW. With a built-in synthesizer host, you hear everything instantly.

  • Drawing Pitch Slide:
Place and drag pitch curve points to create smooth slides between notes. Expressing pitch in MPE has become easier.
  • MPE Synth Hosting:
Load Serum 2, Vital, Phase Plant, and other VST3/AU synthesizers directly into MIDISketch. Hear everything as you draw.
  • Chord Stamp Tool:
Quickly select and stamp chord types with scale locking and a preview based on the playing head position. Bass and arpeggio modes are included.
  • LFO Tool:
Add LFO modulation to MIDI with full control over waveform, speed, depth, and envelope.
  • Smart Key Lock:
Restrict the placement of all notes within a scale. Works with pencil, stamp, drag, and duplicate. The intelligent conflict resolution mechanism snaps to the root, then the fifth, then the third.
  • Quick Pitch Bend Tool:
Add pitch bends to the beginning or end of notes. Five preset shapes plus a drawing canvas.
  • Record from an MPE Controller:
Record pitch, velocity, and slide from any MPE controller—Roli Seaboard, Linnstrument, Push 3, Sensel Morph, and more—as editable curves.
  • Built-in synthesizer and sampler (in development):
Wavetable synthesizer running in the MPE environment, with waveform drawing and drag-and-drop WAV sampler.
  • Flip:
your MIDI selection horizontally or vertically. Instant retrograde movement, inversion, and creative transformations.
  • Arpeggiate Chords:
Turn any chord into an arpeggiated pattern with adjustable timing and strumming direction.
  • Audio to MIDI Tracing:
Import audio and trace frequencies directly into the piano part editor. Convert melodies into editable pitch curves.
  • Expression Lines:
Draw pressure, slide, and pan curves using Bézier curves for each note. Non-destructive LFOs on any expression line.
  • Pitch Wheel Mode:
Standard pitch wheel output for synthesizers that don’t support MPE. Works with Kontakt, Massive, Sylenth1, and any plugin.
  • Link to a MIDI Sketch:
View “phantom” notes from other instances of a MIDI sketch in real time. Drag and drop to merge notes between instances.
  • MIDI Triggers:
Link up to 8 playback points to MIDI notes for live performance. Trigger playback from a keyboard or controller.
  • Non-destructive Splitting:
Split notes into 2-64 parts with adjustable gap and speed curves. Bake to split notes when you’re ready.
  • Microtonal tuning (in development):
Step-by-step tuning with automatic pure intonation. Going beyond 12-tone equal temperament.
  • Follow and Display Mode:
Cinematic playback modes for content creation. Automatic note following, note display animation, and visual tools.
  • Fully customizable:
with 11 built-in themes, UI scaling, remappable keyboard shortcuts, and customizable colors.
  • QWERTY Keyboard:
Play notes from your computer keyboard using the chromatic piano layout. Full MPE polyphony and recording support.
  • Built for content creators:
Export full MIDI MPE files, drag and drop them into your DAW, record cinematic content with display mode, and share your work—built for producers, sound designers, and content creators.
