Description:
PAM is an eight-segment creative sampler.
Create patterns, stretch and manipulate samples, and route modulation between cells using LFOs, envelopes, macros, and parameter sequencers.
Cell Grid: Eight independent cells, each featuring samplers, effects, and modulation. Supports modulation routing between cells and the creation of complex signal flows.
Cell Views: Four distinct views for each cell: sampler controls, sample browser, pattern editor, and effects chain. Switch between them instantly.
CtrlAll: Global macro controls and an A/B crossfader. Link parameters across all cells, with the option to exclude individual cells from these assignments.
Slicer: Slice samples into segments with automatic transient detection. Sequence these slices using dedicated slice patterns.
Pattern: A step sequencer with tracks for notes, pitch, slicing, and time-stretching—plus a piano-roll interface for polyphonic mode. Draw and resize notes across the entire pitch range, utilizing a scale filter and a velocity track.
Tracker: A tracker-style pattern view for all cells. Program notes, velocity, probability, and retriggering along a vertical timeline.
Mixer: Mix all eight cells with controls for volume, panning, muting, and soloing. Each cell includes an effects chain featuring an equalizer, filter, delay, compressor, and more.
Looper: Record up to eight tracks with overdubbing, external input support, and drag-and-drop functionality. Save up to eight variations with synchronized switching. Variation: Parameter randomization with adjustable range and probability. Allows for the addition of a controllable variation to any parameter.
LFO Modulation: Six global LFOs featuring multiple waveforms and tempo synchronization. Can be assigned to any parameter with adjustable depth and bipolar control.
Envelope: Envelopes for each parameter, with adjustable attack and decay. Sidechaining available from any cell output.
Randomization: Generation of random signals and settings for specific sections of the PAM — randomize all LFOs, all envelopes, all sequencers, and more, either individually or simultaneously.
Changes in 1.8.3:
v1.8.3 (08.10.2026)
Added
– Gain has an independent Out control after clipping, so you can adjust the level without changing the distortion.
– Find a Module: click the magnifier on the FX rack’s side rail and type part of an effect’s name, or a word such as reverb or bitcrusher, then press Enter to jump to it.
– Active First in the FX Chain menu moves every enabled effect to the front of the chain, onto the first page, without changing the sound. A left click on the rack’s chain button now opens the menu.
– FX Rack Mode in Settings adds a Build mode: the rack starts empty, you add effects in the order you choose, and loaded presets show their active effects.
– MIDI → Variations can follow Program Change instead of CC, so programs 0 to 7 select variations 1 to 8; on that channel MIDI → Presets then ignores Program Change. Improved
– The preset browser shows the full library as soon as it loads, and its list and grid views have a scrollbar you can drag or click to jump through large collections. Fixed
– The variation buttons could keep showing the previous preset’s slots after you loaded another preset.
– Pattern notes could cut off early in DAWs that change their buffer size during playback.
– With a DAW count-in or pre-roll, the first step on the downbeat could play late.
