Description :
User Orb Composer acts as the “musical director” of artificial intelligence. Before starting work, the musician selects one of several project templates (Orchestral, Strings, Piano, Electro, Pop-Rock, Ambient), and then creates the desired structure of the composition. Based on the specified composition parameters (tonality, tempo, size, chord sequence), the program offers the composition of the participants in the arrangement and its features, options for instrument parts, melodic lines, possible chords, and other things related to song writing.
Using Intensity and Momentum charts, a musician can “draw” the dynamics of a composition that artificial intelligence will transfer to the project. For example, by drawing a drop in the graph in one part of the song, Orb Composer will change the articulations applied to MIDI notes, the rhythmic features of the part, and other parameters.
Orb Composer functions as a complement to DAW, supporting collaboration with most popular digital workstations. Thanks to this, users can transfer information from the program directly to a new track in the project or work with existing batches – Orb Composer can change ready-made MIDI regions inside DAW.
The developers note that the creation of the program took about 5 years of work. In this case, the main difficulty was that the program acted precisely as an assistant and adviser to the composer, and not its substitute.
