You can expect 33 recordings of up-close-and-personal encounters with cape fur seals and 188 different and complex effects mechanical, as well as 433 sounds from various other sources like crows, fireworks, different cars, and more. Recorded with exceptionally high-detail, this latest BOOM ONE update is full of surprises.
MECHANICALS
Our sound designer David Arnoldy visited a workshop full of strange and beautiful things to capture a variety of recordings. The end result is a true gem to be added to the BOOM ONE sound index. Armed with his high-quality Schoeps MK 8 and Sennheiser MKH8050, he recorded a range of sounds, including metallic tables and rattling chains as well as old washing machines and antique calculators.

WATER BUBBLES
The underwater world can be a real challenge to capture on microphone. You need special equipment and even more specialized knowledge on how sonic frequencies work. Luckily, we’ve developed a set of high-quality recordings of bubbles, both from just above and below the surface. Bubble sounds are must-haves for any scenes that happen in or around water, so this update is truly invaluable.
