Description:
Well, it’s in the name, and it does what it says. The Plexi-era Super Bass amp was used by virtually every band in the 1960s and beyond, and remains one of the defining standards of classic bass sound.
Bold, rich, and rounded, with plenty of punch when neededβ€”that’s how you’d describe this amp. It handles large amounts of bass very well, even at high gain levels, and has a beautiful, playful tone at cleaner settings.
So it’s no surprise that we chose this beauty as our first bass release. The kit includes 24 recordings of the amp and cabinet without pedals in front of it, allowing you to further customize the sound to your needs and the requirements of a particular genre.
The amp is designed for use with the impulse response (IR) of the original 1968 Marshall 1960A with Pulsonic G12M25 75Hz CLSTN speakers. These speakers are not bass speakers, but they sound divine in this configuration, and this setup was used with bass cabinets prior to 1967.
