Description: Luftrum 23 for Pigments 2 is an ambient cinematic sound bank for the space traveler, film director and electronic music producer. Contains 100 presets (75 original presets and 25 alternative versions). Also included are 22 “Sweet Spot” FX presets for reverb and delay effects.
The set is produced by Luftrum and takes the sounds back to the basics of early Luftrum releases with rich pads, silky Vangelis-esque keyboards, distorted yet lush synth leads, emphasizing textures and conceptual grain work with the sound emanating from the space itself, like the dusty, mesmerizing granular dust of “Stills” stars” formed from a short fragment of otherworldly frequencies from Voyager 2 as it passed through the outer magnetosphere in 1979 and a pulsating drone based on mysterious FRB signals from deep space, billions of light years away, which are intercepted, noise
reduced and stretched out in time in 350 times.
The soundbank is designed to evoke emotions and raise questions about the depths of space and time, travel into the unknown, life and existence, and the symbiosis between the tiny pale blue dot we call Earth and the vast, eternal universe, with inspiration from artists such as like Biosphere, Jonn Serrie, Vangelis, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Stellardrone, Ascendant and Steve Roach.
All presets were given a few dB of headroom, and were assigned a modulation wheel and aftertouch where it made sense. The Soundbank is fully NKS compatible for Native Instruments hardware users. A PDF manual is included that describes how to install the kit.
