Description : Thenatan Brain is a synthesizer that promises to save musicians from preset slavery with a unique patch generation algorithm
In one click, the tool generates interesting patches based on the content of the project.

The instrument is equipped with an “intelligent” sound generation system that automatically creates new patches. Unlike most synthesizers with a randomizer function, Brain has a “unique XY-DNA algorithm” that changes the operation of oscillators, envelopes, LFOs and filters based on the content of the project.
According to Thenatan, the XY-DNA algorithm is “pretty unique.” The algorithm is based on machine learning and changes the instrument settings based on the tempo and tone of the project, as well as a number of other parameters.

The Brain sound engine is equipped with two oscillators with support for 12 voices (unison), envelopes for the amplifier and filter, a pitch shifter and a low-frequency oscillator. In addition to this, the engine offers a set of sound effects. The work of the synthesizer is visualized in a special interface window.

Despite the stories about the fight against preset slavery, the synthesizer received its own set of presets that demonstrate the capabilities of Brain. According to the creator, randomly generated patches can be exported to a separate file to share with other users.

According to the developer, the synthesizer creates beautiful and complex pads, warm and lively keys, musically unique basses, sharp and bright leads, as well as incredible textures. The sound is created with the push of a button. Despite the interesting description of the instrument, the author of the plugin did not share examples of how the synthesizer works.
Automatic generation does not limit users in additional instrument settings: musicians can set the number of effects, filtering and other parameters at their discretion.

“Preset slavery”?!?! There are some presets that are perfect and there are, perhaps more abundantly, presets that seem like the developer wants to demo just how radical the synth can go, like resonance and env cranked to the max. Fitting name, “Brain” as the first thing it’s generated is curiosity ๐Ÿ™‚ Checkin’ it out, gurus. Also thanks for updated links elsewhere……. very cool.
