As of March 2026, Boris FX has acquired this product from MAGIX.

Sound Forge 2026 supports the entire audio production workflow:
Waveform editing: Precise selection, copying, and deletion of track segments, with zoom capabilities for detailed work.
Audio recording: Support for mono, stereo, and multi-channel material, with options for automatic recording triggered by an input signal or a set schedule.
Audio restoration: Tools for removing noise, clicks, and other defects, including advanced AI-powered solutions (such as those from the CrumplePop plugin suite, acquired via Boris FX).
Effects processing: Built-in tools for equalization, normalization, compression, reverb, and other forms of audio enhancement.
Batch processing: Apply effects to multiple files simultaneously to save time.
Format conversion: Support for a wide range of popular audio formats.

Installation:

  1. Install the R2R System — if you have already installed it, skip this step.
    How to install the R2R System:

If previously installed, remove any outdated versions of Network Block Runtime (v1.x and v2.x). (Located in the folder: C:\Program Files\TEAM R2R\Network Block Runtime. To uninstall, run unins000.exe.)
Install the TEAM R2R Root Certificate (R2RCA.cer) — if you already have an R2R certificate installed, you may skip this step.
How to install the R2RCA.cer certificate:

· Press Win+R > type certmgr.msc > press Enter > go to “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” > “Certificates” > right-click on “Certificates” > select “All Tasks” > “Import” > locate and select the R2RCA.cer file.
· Restart your operating system.
· After the restart, you can verify that the certificate has been installed correctly by using the R2RCERTEST.exe file.

Install R2R System v1.5.1.exe

  1. Install the R2R System — if you have already installed it, skip this step.

  2. Install the TEAM R2R RLM Activator — if you have already installed it, skip this step.

  3. From the R2R folder, place the file Boris FX - Sound Forge Plus.R2RRLM into:
    C:\ProgramData\TEAM R2R\RLM\R2RRLM

  4. Install Sound Forge 2026.

  5. From the R2R folder, place the file vcruntime140_1.dll into the program’s installation directory.

  6. Run ROLMOM.exe (found in the RLM Activator — there is a shortcut on your desktop, or you can find it at C:\Program Files\TEAM R2R\RLM Activator).

To prevent your antivirus from deleting vcruntime140_1.dll from the program folder, add the folder to your antivirus exclusion list.

R2R NOTE:
We will not be releasing individual updates. The files in this release, along with the TEAM R2R RLM Activator, allow for updates to be performed.
Simply download the latest version of the installer from the developer’s website.
