Producers and engineers often have to spend long hours manually editing these problematic sounds. Although this method is often unavoidable,
it is time-consuming and distracts from what really matters.
splitS is here to give you back your time!
splitS is not a de-esser, but rather a simple mixer that allows you to balance sibilant sounds and split a vocal track into sibilant
and non-sibilant components in a fraction of a second. The signal remains completely unaltered unless the volume is changed, as the
separation between sibilance and non-sibilance occurs within the full-range signal.
No compression, no EQ, no crossover.
Starting with version 1.1, the S-Range function can detect the peak level of each “S” event, allowing you to set a maximum volume
or exclude minor events from the S-channel.
splitS was developed in close collaboration with Swiss mixing engineer Thomas “Mr. T” Gloor.
