Description:
Bring Any Sound Closer
A recorded guitar can have the right timbre and level, yet remain soft and detached. Vocals can be clear, yet never seem truly revealing. A loop can overfit a build while still maintaining too much space or distance around it. Raising the fader makes these sounds louder, but it doesn’t necessarily bring them closer.

NEARIZER FX is a proximity plugin designed to bring instruments, vocals, and full mixes closer to the listener.
It combines dynamic, spectral, stereo, and harmonic processing into a single, focused chain. Instead of treating distance as a simple volume or EQ issue, Nearizer addresses attack, room feel, presence, density, and stereo focus simultaneously.

Proximity controls perceived distance.
At low settings, it adds subtle focus and directness. As it’s turned up, the source becomes more immediate, more defined, and less immersed in its surroundings. A distant or spacious sound can feel as if it’s been pulled out of the room and placed closer to the listener.

Density determines the weight of the result.
Keep it low for a cleaner, more open sound. Increase it when the source requires more body, richness, and physical presence. This allows the track to move forward without automatically making it sound heavy or overly processed.

Nearizer includes 10 Source Profiles:
Universal, Vocal, Drums, Bass, Acoustic, Electric, Keys, Synth, Pad, and MIX.
These aren’t just simple EQ presets. Each profile modifies the response of multiple processing stages, so vocals, drums, bass, pads, and other sources are processed in a natural, forward-moving manner.

Our spatial placement plugin, Virtual Stage FX, is designed to place the sound source deeper in the room. NEARIZER works in the opposite direction, pulling the sound out of the room and bringing it closer to the listener.

Not just louder. This isn’t a de-reverb plugin.
Nearizer doesn’t simply enhance presence, narrow the stereo image, or remove reverb.
It works on multiple cues that make a source seem distant, including attack, room balance, density, spectral focus, and stereo information. Source profiles adjust the entire processing chain for different types of material, rather than applying separate EQs.

Nearizer isn’t designed to remove all reverberation or restore a completely dry recording. Instead, it helps the original sound move forward while maintaining its natural character and ambience.
In the examples below, listen for how the source becomes more immediate, focused, and physically closer, rather than simply louder or brighter.
