The U-220 RS-PCM sound module and its keyboard version, the U-20, were released in 1988/1989. The RS-PCM is used for sound generation. The U-220 has 64 winding rattles, 128 timbres, and 128 tones. At that time, fifteen performance maps were released, containing 386 additional tones.
I carefully sampled the U-220 and its mapping maps and converted its traditional rattles, timbres, and tones to the contact tunings of native instruments (Kontakt 5.5a). Single tones have one sample before the key, while dual/mixed tones have two samples before the key. Based on traditional sounds, I’ve included numerous variations as bonuses in each collection.
