Imagine playing the same Fender Rhodes that was used on legendary 1970s recordings. Artists like Chic, Peter Fampton, Tony Bennett, and hundreds of others have used this classic instrument. The sample library includes the MK11 and Stereo Suitcase. Chris visited the world-famous Avatar Studios for a few days to sample their Rhodes, using a similar signal path to that used 30 years ago.
The recordings were performed using Neuman U-87 and U-47 FET microphones, a Neve 1073 preamp, and Apogee converters through Pro Tools. Coles 4038 room microphones were routed through Pultecs and Apogee converters to Pro Tools. Chris painstakingly sampled this popular keyboard instrument at various velocities and went through the tedious process of creating patches for EXS 24 and Kontakt. Chris offers separate DI, Amp, and Room samples, giving users the ability to mix samples as they please.
