YES! You can, just make sure you use the same location (default).
Can Kontakt 6/7 or Kontakt 8 run side by side ?
Yes! You can install both versions without any conflicts.
How can I make Kontakt 8 look like classic Kontakt 6 ?
In the VIEW menu , change the Single View/Rack View, and then click LIBRARY to select New/Old Library View.
To save your settings permanently, click ” Set View Settings as Default ” from the VIEW menu.
What is Kontakt 8 json cleaner.bat?
It forcibly and silently deletes the entire ” C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\installed_products ” folder and all its contents.
This folder contains XML files that Native Access uses to determine
which Native Instruments products are currently installed on your system.
Consequences of deleting this folder
Reset Native Access settings.
Refill products.
No data loss (usually).
What is this command used for?
Native Access cannot update the product.
“Installed” products appear in the “Not Installed” list.
Corrupted records in the installation database.
Alternative/recommended actions
Instead of a forced deletion, it’s generally recommended to delete individual .xml files in this folder
that correspond to the faulty product, rather than the entire folder if you only have one problematic product.
⚠️ Note: This command cannot be undone. If you’re unsure, make sure you have backups.
