Description: The Riser Effect is a term for sounds that rise in pitch over time. Sounds that steadily increase in energy and tension. However, while the overall direction of the tone is upward, you can add rhythm or movement to make it more unique. You can also shape the overall rise curve over time. This type of sound effect is great for building energy in a new section of your song, such as the transition from verse to chorus… But you can also use shorter, less pronounced build-ups just before introducing new sections and elements.
Fade-up effects are widely used in EDM and epic cinematic music. But you can use them in almost any genre. Sometimes you want a more organic-sounding build-up effect made from real instruments and sounds… and other times, you’ll want an electronic-style build-up made from synthetic sounds to add that accented and abrupt build-up of energy.
You’ll learn all this from my top tips, practical examples, and demos. So get ready to create build-up effects, right now!
