Description: We present another Sonic Academy exclusive and are pleased to welcome our new instructor, Washington, D.C.-based producer and DJ Enamour, who will guide us through “How To Make Ruby”—his latest track, just released on Anjunadeep, which is currently making waves in the Progressive House scene. With its beautiful arpeggiated lead and continuous synth pad drone that brings you to the track’s breakdown before taking off again at full speed, Ruby is a “journey” in the truest sense of the word, and Enamour’s attention to detail ensures fluidity throughout the production creates this amazing track.
Starting with a blank canvas, we begin with a melodic hook, then layer bass and pads to assemble a drum groove. We then move on to a basic arrangement before filling the overall sound with ambient ambience and punches using deft processing techniques. The final section of the course focuses on building tension and momentum with full automation before mixing and mastering, making everything club-ready.
