Description:
SEQUND is a powerful polyrhythmic sequencer that combines – and improves on – all the best features of Max4Live’s already successful sequencers.
created by electronic musician Alexkid, remastered in collaboration with Tadashi Tsuginomori of HY-Plugins.

Features Gate, Length, Hold, Chance, Pitch A, Pitch B, Probability A/B, Transpose, Octave, 3x assignable MIDI CC tracks, each with an individual number of steps. In addition, there are 2 step progression modes – positive and negative, as well as up to 12 patterns per preset with the ability to instantly call via MIDI.

A lot of effort has been put into creating the best user experience that is results oriented while keeping it simple and fun. Whether you want to create exciting basslines with subtle variations or eccentric groove-filled melodies, SEQUND’s intuitive interface will get your creative juices flowing in no time. Several features set it apart from more traditional monophonic sequencers.

Two Pitch bars and a Probability bar allow you to alternate between two different melodies. Each track has an independent length, allowing you to create complex polyrhythms and evolving patterns with disconcerting ease, even with “only” 16 steps per pattern.

In addition, there is the unique ability to assign different numbers of steps to the rhythm-generating Gate track and the Pitch track, allowing you to create unexpected patterns that develop in a very musical way by shifting the gate/pitch correspondence and separating rhythm from melody.

Transpose is available both before and after scale quantization, allowing you to shift the melody and always stay on key no matter what you do. This feature is also controlled via real-time MIDI notes from the keyboard. Patterns can also be recalled dynamically in punch-in mode via MIDI notes, making pattern chaining easier even when using polyrhythms.

Already loved by many producers thanks to its randomization feature for instant sequence generation, it comes with a selection of presets from artists such as Alexander Kowalski, Arno, Brawther, Christian Burkhardt, Cristi Cons, Cyrk, D’Julz, Goldmoon, Janeret, Josh Wink, Katie Drover , Okain, Oshana, Reboot, Robin Ordell, Rodriguez Jr., Soela, tINI and Tripmastaz to help you get started…
