Description : The 112dB Mikron series is characterized by simplicity. We believe that too many features can hinder the creative process. Simply put: more features mean more settings and the need to delve into all sorts of technical details. And this often distracts from the main thing – creating music. You really don’t need so many controls to achieve great sound. Guitar effects pedals are a perfect example of this. Their limited functionality is more than compensated for by the pleasure they provide. Or do you really believe that Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain would have written better music if their pedals had just a few extra controls? Limitations often inspire creativity, not hinder it.
The current package includes:
- The Mikron Reverb is a reverb that can do everything you need in a flash. Based on the acclaimed 112dB Redline reverb, it offers the same rich, lexicon-like sound, but it works in a completely different way.
- The Mikron Delay is inspired by classic bucket and tape delays of the past. We didn’t attempt to replicate any of these classic delays, but rather to capture the essence of these devices that makes them sound so incredibly fantastic.
- The Mikron Crusher makes it easy to add some 80’s flair to your samplers by reducing the bit depth and sample rate.
- The Mikron Cascade is the perfect tool for creating atmospheric, ambient, and drone-inspired soundscapes. It transforms any input sound into a vibrant, rich, and warm “sound cloud.”
- The Mikron Compressor is an easy-to-use compressor that can operate in both transparent and warm, powerful modes. It delivers the same high-quality sound as its big brother, the Big Blue Compressor.
- The Mikron Phaser is modeled after the legendary Small Stone Phaser. It boasts a timeless, 70s-inspired sound and is equally at home on guitar and synth.
- The Mikron Orbiter is a plugin that recreates the popular Solina string sound from the 1970s. It offers effects only (not just string ensemble, but also tremolo and chorus). This means you can apply it to anything you want, rather than being limited to the sounds found in Eminent Unique or the Solina string ensemble.
- The Mikron Chorus was inspired by the Juno chorus effect found in the Roland Juno synthesizer, as well as Boss/Roland chorus pedals from the 1970s. With adjustable delay and feedback times, it can also be used as a flanger.
