Cthulhu is, firstly, a chord memorizing and playing instrument that allows you to experiment with creating and rearranging chord progressions by pressing individual notes. Over 150 factory chord presets are included, allowing you to create an almost unlimited number of possible musically sounding chord progressions.
Import MIDI or “record” chords directly into Cthulhu. It can analyze the chords you play and use different classification options (circle of fifths, chromatic, low notes, etc.), making your chords easy to access!
Convert your chords in a new way. The other half of Cthulhu is a unique pattern-based arpeggiator that lets you manipulate incoming notes or chords in a variety of rhythmic ways. The 8 step sequencer tabs let you completely reshape incoming MIDI notes, even one note fed into the arpeggio can become a unique and rhythmic riff! Even if you have other software arpeggio plugins, Cthulhu’s arpeggio is unique and powerful with advanced features such as chord arpeggio mode, duration / velocity sequencing, smart transpose, harmony and more! Each tab of the sequencer can operate at its own length, which allows you to develop polymetric arpeggios. From simple to complex, from chaotic to creating precise arpeggios that you imagine in your head!
