Sometimes nicknamed “R2D2” due to its futuristic 70’s sci-fi design, the 250 reverb was a heavy floor-mounted monster with an impressive array of features controlled by 4 huge levers.
Unlike the mechanical plate reverbs that replaced it, the 250 sounded remarkably clear and open, with great three-dimensional depth and low noise.
To this day, it is considered by many to be the finest digital reverb ever made, with only 250 pieces ever produced. The Dawn faithfully reproduces the rich sound of this classic device and greatly expands its capabilities with modern audio controls.
