The classic Waldorf Blofeld universal synthesizer is now also available as a plugin for your DAW.

Description :

With the Blofeld plugin you can also control your hardware,
and it is compatible with existing Blofeld sound sets.

The Blofeld plug-in’s sound generation provides the typical fat and rich Waldorf sound character
that so many Waldorf users around the world love when they play their Blofeld, Q, Q+, Microwave,
Microwave II/XT or even the flagship Wave. The secret to its sound is its powerful wavetable engine
that allows it to create these intense and expressive sounds.

This unique synthesis system is based on the revolutionary PPG synthesizers of the early 80’s.
When you first hear Blofeld, you will immediately remember those sharp, punchy or bell-like tones
that have been an integral part of countless world hits since the PPG era.

Presets The Blofeld plugin has a powerful preset browser with a database structure and offers extensive sorting and filtering functions.
Multichannels Like the hardware, the plugin also has a 16-part multimode. MIDI channel, velocity
and keyboard zone can be set individually for each part. This multimode allows you to create complex layers of sounds.

Synthesizer The Synth section contains all the important parameters for sound design. Here you have access to oscillators,
wavetables, filters, envelopes, LFOs and effects.

Matrix The modulation matrix offers 16 freely assignable connections in addition to 9 fixed predefined routes.
In addition, 4 freely assignable “modifiers” are available, which allow mathematical operations
that can be used as a modulation source.

Arpeggiator The Blofeld arpeggiator is one of the most powerful that can be found in Waldorf synthesizers. In addition to 15 basic patterns,
it offers a sophisticated pattern editor for creating your own variations. This feature makes it a powerful tool.

Samples The sample browser provides an overview of imported and available wave sets. You can also load your own samples
and assign them to oscillators. Similar to ‘Spectre’, you can specify the sample root key and cycle points here.
