Description : WA Production has created an ideal way to approach and achieve proper compression. All manufacturers know that compression can be either an excellent sound bonus, if it is used properly, or completely destroy your mix. Beginners rush into this process and most are confused or scared to death. SphereComp is able to satisfy both experienced and beginners.
To get the same results as SphereComp, you have to spend thousands of dollars on high-end equipment, invest time to get acquainted with it, adjust it again and again until you get the desired result. Not to mention installation and routing. Sigh with relief. Do not be afraid to compress. Just use this plugin.
Dual mode : allows you to switch from PEAK (normal mode) to RMS (bus mode). If you direct your drum tracks (or any other group of tracks) to a group track, you can compress this group all at once. Linking or “gluing” all the elements will occur as if you are processing one. The Buss mode is designed specifically for this, it responds to the rms value (or average value of the signal), creating a smooth and musical compression of the sound. The usual mode reacts to the peaks of the signal, with its help you can dynamically form individual tracks. Keep in mind that some individual tracks will benefit much more in RMS mode, and some bands or mixes will sound better in PEAK mode, so experiment and see what works best for your track.
Attack – Time in milliseconds that it will take for the compressor to reach its destination.
Release – Time in milliseconds that it will take for the compressor to reach.
Auto Gain – Auto Gain matches the output volume to the input volume automatically.
Stereo – Switch between stereo and mono modes.
Punch – Parallel processing to add punch to the signal before the compression stage.
Saturate – Add tube style saturation to the compressed signal.
Clean – Make the compressor sound as clean as possible. If Punch or Saturate are on, it will reduce their effect by giving you different timbre options.
Side Chain – Signal from the right channel input goes to the detector and the signal from the left channel input goes to the compressor.
Soft Clipping – Use to round the signal when it approaches.
Bypass – Allows you to engage and disengage the compressor.
Dry / Wet – Mixes between the processed signal and the input signal, creating a parallel compression effect, which leaves the peaks untouched while boosting the lower part of the signal.
