Description : Inspired by the classic British device from the Beatles era, which was used to record hundreds of records since the 1960s, Royal Compressor delivers an authentic vintage analog sound and feel. Pleasant richness and delicate compression are what every track truly needs.

Possibilities :

Royal Compressor Control
Royal Compressor’s simple user interface easily adapts to your screen—it will look the same on any screen, whether it’s a low-resolution one or a modern high-resolution/Retina display. Drag the bottom-right corner to resize the graphical interface. Make it smaller to save valuable screen space, or enlarge it for easier use.

Trim: A pad that trims the signal from 0 to a silence level (-100 dB) to calibrate the overall volume of the effect.

Input Gain Control: This control adjusts the Royal Compressor’s input gain. A value of 0 corresponds to 0 dB, while a value of 10 increases the signal by 24 dB.

Model: Each of the three compressors we modeled had its own character and attack time. Model A has the slowest attack (70 ms) and is the cleanest. Model C is the fastest (17 ms attack) and the most colorful.

Recovery: The Stepped Recovery switch adjusts the compression recovery time. It offers six recovery time settings, from the slowest (6) to the fastest (1). The red dots represent five identical “HOLD” positions. In these positions, the original signal is compressed to the level achieved during the last processing. The recovery time in the HOLD position is very, very, very, very long.

Saturation: When using the effect creatively, you might want to adjust the saturation level independently of the compression level. Real hardware models don’t allow this. In real life, the vintage character of the device will be expressed by 100% saturation.

Indicator: Shows the gain reduction values in real time.

Auto Gain: This knob automatically adjusts the output volume based on changes in the input gain. It does not affect the output attenuator.

Power: Bypasses the plugin.

Output Level Knob: This knob adjusts the output level of the compressor.

Mix: This knob mixes the dry and wet (modified) signals after the Input Control and before the Saturation Control.

Phase: Enables linear phase processing in the plugin. Using this feature increases the plugin’s latency!

Toolbar
The Royal Compressor also has several standard controls that can improve your operating efficiency.

Presets and Left/Right Arrows:
The plugin comes with a set of presets that will suit most tasks or serve as a good starting point for audio adjustments. To access them, use the left and right arrows or click directly on the preset field.
