Description : After eight years of creation, the Dutch-Turkish DJ and producer Ummet Ozcan has announced his own Genesis Pro synthesizer.
Genesis Pro can perform subtraction, phase distortion, FM and ROM synthesis. It has three oscillators that can generate sounds independently or simultaneously. You can smoothly transition between them in real time using a special slider. A filter can be applied to each generator. There are eight filter types and five saturation modes to choose from. Genesis Pro also has a 32-step sequencer, arpeggiator and has the ability to load external custom MIDI sequences. It allows you to split these sequences between the top and bottom keys of the keyboard, and even split the keyboard so you can play one instrument with one hand and the other with the other.
There is a huge variety of modulation possibilities. You can modulate any knob on the interface, and each knob animates in real time to show you what’s going on. It has a “connect all to all” feel to it, which is even more evident in the function of the modulation matrix and the fact that five ASDR envelopes can be connected to over 100 destinations.
The Genesis Pro also has a mastering section (with filter, limiter, more saturation and stereo expansion) and an impressive array of fourteen built-in effects, including a whopping twelve types of distortion, an eight-stage phaser, delay, ‘hyperspace reverb’ and a vowel filter (accompanied by fun center screen graphics). ). To top it off, for ease of use, you can assign commands from CTRL+1 to CTRL+8, and there’s a “Picasso mode” with a wide range of aesthetic settings, although it already looks very slick.
picThe developer was in big hurry to release this plugin: I have noticed, that during installation on 32 bit systems it intalls sound content in not proper folder for next functioning LOL. (instead of putting it in C:\Program Files (x86) it puts it in C:\Program Files and then after run gives tons of errors that can’t find that the plugin can’t found the sound content).
I have installed everything with legit serial, then packed it and gave info on how to put eveeything on its place, so that it would load sound content properly.
The current version of plugin gives me next bug in Ableton (not necessary for another DAWs i believe) the message “Please get your license on oz-soft.com” that should be ignored by clicking ok. This message (checked on Ableton Live 9+10)) was present on both 64bit / 32bit platforms after original retail install with valid serial. Except putting the serial in installer i don’t any copy protection – no any see option for extra activation – no any license import.
