Description: Inspired by the shimmering haze of timeless tones that drove the 80s synth revolution, but reimagined with modern technology, this EKX for EZkeys 2 is a sonic retrospective with a completely new perspective. If you’re looking for sounds clearly rooted in nostalgic charm, yet with modern depth and clarity, this is the perfect complement to EZkeys 2.
The main instrument in this EKX was inspired by one of the most iconic synths of the 80s. Numerous patches were created from this foundation to achieve the best possible sonic range. To further refine each sound, additional sampled hardware synths and effects were added, mixed, and refined to create fresh, unique textures of warm analog tones, perfect for any type of modern pop music. In total, the package includes an impressive 80 presets, conveniently organized into four distinct categories: keys, leads and bass, plucked and bell sounds, and pads. Together, this gives you a palette of sounds that covers everything from characteristically clear and transparent piano tones to overdriven leads, powerful basses, and warm analog padsβall with a clear nod to the past, yet with a modern approach. As always, each preset includes its own control center, where you can easily adjust key parameters to perfectly suit your mix.
In addition to the sounds, the package includes a MIDI library unique to this product. For ease of use, each section in each song is categorized using the same terminology as presets, giving you the perfect source for auditioning sounds with MIDI settings. This add-on reimagines some of the most familiar sounds of the past in new, unusual ways. Installation :
Copy the EZK2-TimeMachine folder to the directory containing your other EZKeys libraries.
Copy the 000752@EKX_TIME_MACHINE file from the Midi folder to the Midi directory containing your other EZkeys MIDI grooves.
