Description:
This XR IR kit is built around our vintage 80’s Mesa Boogie 1×12 cabinet with the original 200W EVM12L speaker. Often referred to as “the best guitar speaker in the world”, the EVM12L was used in Mesa and Dumble cabinets in the 80’s and was popular with the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Zakk Wylde, SRV, Eric Johnson and more for its high output and deep, clean and smooth sound. This kit includes 9 different dynamic, condenser, tube and ribbon microphones positioned in 4 different positions across the cabinet in single and multi-mic configurations. Each single-mic IR module has 3 options: Unaltered Mic, Enhanced and Top Boost, providing both raw and studio-tuned tones for maximum IR impact. This set of IRs is part of our new XR IR Collection [XR = Extreme Realism], which is the result of countless hours of IR experimentation, development, and A/B testing. The XR Collection is our newest and most accurate line of impulse responses we’ve ever created. When compared to a real mic’d cabinet using the same amp, it’s hard to tell the difference. We’re proud to say that these IRs provide the most accurate representation of the cabinet in tone, feel, breakup quality, and harmonic information when pushed. Unlike our previous tone-matched IRs, these IRs are universal and can be used on any platform that can load IRs, and are not dependent on using specific amp settings to sound right. Included is a Tone Factor Starters folder with 10 hand-picked IRs from the set to help you get started quickly.

INCLUDED IN THIS KIT
