Description: A discrete Class A compressor inspired by classic British designs known for smooth, musical compression and rich analog sound. Features transformer-balanced inputs/outputs and a diode bridge topology for a legendary warm, vintage sound.
Threshold Control
Sets the level at which compression begins. Signals above the threshold are compressed using a classic British diode bridge design, while signals below pass through unaffected.
Knee Control
Adjusts the transition between uncompressed and compressed signals. A soft knee provides a gradual onset of compression for transparent control, while a hard knee provides more aggressive and immediate compression.
Attack controls how quickly the compressor reacts to signals above the threshold.
Release determines how quickly compression stops after the signal drops below the threshold. This is critical for preserving natural dynamics.
Make-up Gain
Compensates for the gain reduction caused by compression. Allows you to match the output level to the input or add additional gain to enhance the signal.
Mix Control
Mix dry and compressed signals for instant parallel compression. Ideal for preserving punch and transients while adding body and sustain.
