Description: A very competent tutorial on creating a massive, full-fledged bassline for dubstep music. It uses the Native Instruments synthesizer Massive as a basis.
In this lesson, you’ll learn:
– what components make up a bassline,
– how to run sound through built-in effects and filters without using external plugins,
– how to modulate the “shape” of the bassline,
– how to automate Massive for dubstep, and more.
This tutorial is based on Ableton, but Massive can also be integrated into any software, such as Cubase and FL Studio. The bassline construction principles demonstrated can (and should) also be used in drum ‘n’ bass, breaks, techno, and other genres. Good luck)
