Description : Piano library update
If a picture really is worth a thousand words, we think of The Felt Seiler in the same way, only in a musical context – you can convey a multitude of different emotions with just a few hand movements. Nothing too complicated or “lush”, but at the same time powerful and touching enough to allow you to express yourself freely, nothing holding you back.
The library was recorded in Sofia Session Studio B with several close microphones that were later combined into a single mic position. Additionally, The Felt Seiler contains 3 synth/sound design layers of your choice to help you create a unique sound. We named the three layers according to the mood that most closely resembles how they sound: Warmth, Ache, and Loneliness. For all three, you have the ability to remove (on/off button at the top of the volume control), solo, or mute each layer.
Additionally, you can adjust the volume and stereo width, and assign different outputs to each microphone position if needed. We’ve also added a “reverse” option (the round button with the upside-down play symbol) that lets you play any of the sound design layers in reverse, adding even more possibilities for creating different musical textures and colors.
In the center of the GUI, you’ll find the “Soft” and “Sustain” buttons. The latter is bound to your piano’s sustain pedal by default, as you’d expect, and will play sustain samples when pressed. However, pressing the button in the GUI will allow you to play all available sustain samples. We also sampled The Felt Seiler with a soft pedal, and this mode can be activated by pressing the “Soft” button in the interface. This sound is quieter and even softer because the piano’s dampers are closer to the strings, causing less vibration, which in turn results in a warmer, more delicate sound.
