The software has a wide range of users—from amateurs to recording professionals—and boasts the highest sound quality.
The editor runs on 64-bit Windows operating systems with standard MIDI controllers such as Steinberg CI, CMC, and CC121.
WaveLab’s functionality surpasses many audio processing programs. The editor enables fast audio file conversion through batch processing, backup creation and playlist creation,
development of original projects for Audio CDs and DVDs, and the unique ability to add sound effects to an audio file directly during playback.
The program’s open architecture allows users to expand it with new useful features.
What’s new in WaveLab 13:
Steinberg introduces an updated audio editing program that includes many new features.
Version 13 introduces Master and Album audio editing features, designed to provide a fully immersive experience with more precise and easier finalization of user projects. Master simplifies the import and editing of ADM files by applying processing, normalization, and re-rendering while preserving spatial information about objects. Album facilitates the organization of multiple ADM files into a single, cohesive master album, allowing users to visualize their clips in various formats, from stereo to 9.1.6, and provides the ability to automatically update the display according to the Dolby Atmos renderer.
Other features of the updated program include: Loudness and TruePeak normalization in multiple ADM files; A/B comparison; support for multi-core processors (for simultaneous processing of several tasks in Audio Montage); an updated set of MasterRig 2 plugins with new processing modules, sidechain support and an improved user interface; a modern VocalChain plugin designed for processing vocals and speech; direct routing of audio signals to track plugins with sidechain support; color indication of clips and tracks (for quick navigation through projects); expanded compatibility with VST 3; new plugins: Pitch Shifter and Underwater; interface scaling; instant removal of plugins and much more.
Installation:
Uninstall the previous version (this is a recommendation from R2R, so it’s up to you)
Note: If you already have Silk Emulator v1.5.0 and TEAM R2R System v1.1.0 installed, skip steps 1-3.
- Install the R2R System v1.1.0.exe certificate
- Install Setup Steinberg Silk Emulator v1.5.0.exe
- Restart the OS
- Install Steinberg Mediabay (This is necessary for the content browser to work. Without Mediabay, the content may be empty.)
- Install WaveLab_Pro_13.msi
Note: R2R doesn’t mention installing the R2RCA.cer certificate in the instructions, but it’s included in the distribution just in case.
