Description: Your creativity under your control
Spitfire Studio Strings marks the first release of the brand new Spitfire Orchestra line. Our goal was to create an incredibly versatile sample library for the professional level. By opting for the clear and bright setting of Air Studio One, a smaller and more manageable space than the opulent Lyndhurst Hall, we offer our fellow composers a library of string instruments with depth, detail and focus at the same time. For those who will be working on anything from passionate historical dramas to contemporary Scandinavian film noir. It is suitable for offbeat indie and fresh pop music, but also accompanies epic movies and games.
This new set of orchestral libraries, two years in the making, features all the hallmarks of Spitfire: London-based A-list session guitarists, invaluable instruments, and an unparalleled signal path, taped by Grammy Award-winning engineer Simon Rhodes. As is the case with our existing symphonic and chamber ranges, we’ve taken an all-in-one approach: an encyclopedia of articulations (playing styles), vibrato control, and numerous dynamic and PP layers for seamless realism in nuance. Our new Studio Strings package is a medium chamber (or small symphonic) ensemble recorded in sections (1st violin, 2nd violin, violas, cellos and double basses).
Spitfire users now have a wide range of orchestral maneuvers. We believe that Studio Strings are suitable for users of our existing Lyndhurst Hall ranges as an important sonic alternative. The library can be used for the widest range of musical purposes, ready for your own favorite reverbs and effects. With the versatility we’ve built into this library, we have no doubt that Spitfire Studio will be an important part of your musical creation over the next decade.
Spitfire Studio Strings takes you straight to the heart of our orchestral library to date: 148 articulations in the full 30 string section (8.6.6.6.4), from soaring legato and our signature whispery super flutando all the way to spiccato, the “fork” grace notes and effects.
