Spitfire took a close look at what made Albion ‘Legacy’ popular, returned to the studio and painstakingly recreated and refined the core elements of the original. Like Albion 1, there is a large, epic orchestra, but this time the orchestra is increased to 109 players with more articulation, vibrato control and new features. Darwin Percussion has been re-recorded with many additional sections (and a couple of old favorites). The “Brunel dynamic loops” section was again developed by the Spitfire team, using Paul Clarvis’s favorite percussion, much of what he uses in many films including Skyfall and Spectre. “Stephenson’s Steam Synth” takes the epic to a whole new level with a new script from Spitfire.
