Description : smart:EQ 4 uses artificial intelligence to eliminate spectral problems and achieve tonal balance. This equalizer allows you to approach the project from a mixing point of view: intelligent interchannel processing provides hierarchical control over multiple tracks and allows spectral mixing using drag and drop.
Intelligent inter-channel processing for spectral unmasking
AI filter for automatic correction of tonal imbalance
Dynamic EQ, profile mixing, reference track function, automatic gain…

Characteristics :

Keep the mix context in mind – it’s easy
Unlike conventional equalizers that don’t take the mix context into account when processing, smart:EQ 4 lets you easily manage unmasking processes in a multi-track recording and perform spectral mixing with a simple drag and drop of up to 10 tracks. This allows you to prioritize each smart:filter, bringing some elements to the foreground, keeping others in the center and pushing others to the background. With this innovative tool, there is no need to switch between instances anymore – any instance in one group can be remotely controlled from any other instance.

AI-powered equalization for instant spectral balance
The heart of smart:EQ 4 is the smart:filter, which automatically balances the signal according to the target profile you choose for your tracks. The smart:filter in each EQ instance has a number of features that let you customize the AI processing to your liking. Open the smart:filter widget to adjust the Smoothing parameter for gentler filtering and enable the Adaptation option to smooth out highly dynamic signals. You can split the smart:filter’s green weighting curve and set a specific frequency range to determine where the smart algorithms should work. smart:EQ 4. smart:filter can be used in three modes: Tracking – balances the channel Group – does not affect the channel, but reduces the masking between it and other group members Tracking and Group – balances the channel and makes it available for unmasking.

Profiles for instruments, vocals and entire mixes
With each new generation of smart:EQ, the range of available profiles has expanded. smart:EQ 4 includes profiles for instruments and vocals, which can be used on individual tracks or buses. To give your mix a final spectral treatment, use one of the genre profiles. If you’re looking for a specific sound, load a reference track to create a custom profile and set smart:EQ 4 to reproduce its spectral character and balance on your channel or bus. By popular demand, you can now specify the maximum learning time smart:EQ 4 should use to analyze the input signal.

All the features you need for a professional setup
smart:EQ 4 is an all-in-one equalizer that has all the features you’d expect from a professional equalizer. In addition to the smart:filter, smart:EQ 4’s standard EQ bands work dynamically, offering a dynamic filter widget with familiar compressor-like controls. These standard EQ bands can be used in addition to or instead of the main smart:filter bands in any instance of smart:EQ 4. There’s also an auto gain feature to compensate for level changes, comprehensive midrange processing, and an analyzer feature that shows not only the current track but all tracks in the same group.
