Knowing how to approach a mix correctly with equalizers can help simplify the entire process and allow for much better results. We designed this video collection to give the viewer a greater understanding into the use of EQs.
While the main focus of these videos is to teach a MUSICAL understanding into the use of equalizers, we also explain the type of EQs, filters and designs. Many audio examples are given with direct comparisons between tools and techniques. We also work directly on a mix using several different EQs while the engineer explains the process.
We examine the importance of various frequencies and demonstrate how they work together. The final result is not only a deeper understanding into the use of qualizers but also a better understanding of how they all sound and respond to music differently.
